The Board of Directors of 修车论坛茅 College recently announced that Lily S. Hsu, Ed.D. has been named as the College鈥檚 eighth president.

Prior to her appointment as President, Dr. Hsu has been connected to the College as vice chair of 修车论坛茅 College鈥檚 Board of Directors, and chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee since 2016.

鈥淗aving worked closely on the board with Dr. Hsu, we know that she shares our commitment to the mission of 修车论坛茅 and the hardworking and determined students we serve,鈥� said board chairman Damien DeVasto. 鈥溞蕹德厶趁� has an extraordinary 127-year tradition of exceptional healthcare education in the Boston area and online across the country. Lily is an experienced and caring visionary that will guide 修车论坛茅 into our next phase of prominence in healthcare education and training.鈥�

Dr. Hsu is an experienced academic leader and educator; she most recently served as provost at Johnson & Wales University where she was responsible for strategic leadership and academic programming across four campuses. Before joining Johnson & Wales, she was the associate provost at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Throughout her career, Dr. Hsu has promoted excellence in teaching and learning, and strives to create cultures of continuous improvement, innovation, and positive relationships between faculty, staff, and students. She has considerable expertise in academic program development, particularly in the area of healthcare professional programs, and she has led departments in nursing, medical imaging, and radiation therapy. She is also a former Commissioner for the New England Commission for Higher Education (NECHE).

鈥淚 am honored to have been selected by my colleagues to be the next president,鈥� Dr. Hsu said. 鈥淭he 修车论坛茅 student is impressive and determined, and I am looking forward to helping them reach their goals of careers in caring for others. 修车论坛茅 is truly educating the diverse healthcare workforce of the future and I am grateful to be part of this great legacy.鈥� Dr. Hsu holds an Ed.D. from Teacher鈥檚 College Columbia University in Health and Behavioral Studies and Nutrition Education, and a M.S. and B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University.
