Celebrate Diversity at Our 1st Multicultural Diaspora

Diaspora_102F2016

We are thrilled to announce the 1st annual Multicultural Diaspora. The Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Work Group have been working alongside ÐÞ³µÂÛ̳é students to create an event where we can celebrate the diversity reflected in the ÐÞ³µÂÛ̳é College community. This will be an opportunity for all to share and learn about the various cultures and ethnicities that have helped to shape the wonderful people we have come to know here at ÐÞ³µÂÛ̳é.

Students, staff, and faculty members are invited to participate by either contributing a traditional food dish, wearing traditional garb,  submitting a piece of art for display, share a story about your/your family’s history, perform a traditional song, poem, or dance. Cultural demonstrations will come from the U.S., Honduras, Ghana, Haiti, Italy, Greece, France, Armenia and many more.

The event will take place on Monday, October 17 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM in the Academic Building, Room C112. All are welcome! If you'd like to showcase your own culture, please contact us at human_resources@laboure.edu
